About our company

Madsen Land Surveying, Inc. was founded by John Madsen in 1979. We are a well established firm, and we strive for quality and accuracy in our surveys. Our staff has many years of experience in the land surveying field, and is dedicated to providing our clients with quality surveys and survey services. In addition to our own extensive records, we have also acquired the survey records of former Martin Land Surveying, Inc., and Bell Surveying, Inc. We are licensed to practice in the states of Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. John Madsen is also the elected Martin County Surveyor.

To better serve the needs of our clients, we utilize modern field and office technology, and employ the latest in field procedures. In our office, we utilize the latest in site-planning and CAD (computer aided drafting) software, including Site Comp and Trimble Geomatics Office. In the field, we use Trimble S6 robotic total stations, TSC2 data collectors, and Trimble R8 RTK GPS receivers. These things allow us to provide high-accuracy surveys in an efficient manner, and aid us in keeping costs to our clients down.
